My New Home
19 September 2006 08:35It's official! I now live in the Learning Commons. This is what happens when people don't sign up for shifts; I find myself spending more and more time here.
Last night - I sign up for the 8-10:30 LC shift because it needs to be covered.
8:15am - I recieve a call asking if I'm able to stay in the LC until 11:45am. I say yes.
8:20am - I recieve a call asking if I'm able to stay in the LC until 12:45pm. I say yes again.
So for the second time this semester I'm here literally all morning. So that's pretty exciting. I think I'm going for a personal record this week of working the most hours in computer labs in a given week. In a way it inspires me to pick up a morning shift on Thursday, just so I can say I worked every morning this week. On the other hand, I love it when I get enough sleep, and getting up on time for 8am shifts is something of a strain when you were awake at, say, 1:00 in the morning. Could be worse, could've been 3:00. Hah, done that one before ;-)
Luckily, today is the day I don't have marching band and go to Composition studio instead, so that should be good for the whole feeling sleepy issue.
This weekend is the Sudbury Ancient Fyfe and Drum Muster! I'll be heading home Friday afternoon with Joanna, where I'll have a few things to do on Friday evening and whatnot. I'll be missing a home game of football, but nothing special so no great loss. It'll be a good time and I look forward to seeing the Stow Minutemen again on Saturday and my home church on Sunday :)
