Now let's see what all that "change" actually means and if it makes an iota of difference to the economy and our political freedom. I'm not sure why people are so ecstatic when we're not really sure what we're getting ourselves into; he wasn't terribly forthcoming all the time, and rather, swept people away with charisma and feel-good speeches.
The obvious plus side here is that the part of the American public that's been whining about our government for the past 8+ years will finally stop, and the government might even go so far as to win back some popular confidence. Obama certainly has a good personality to do that, and that potential is good.
But please, don't call us the "Obamanation," we're the United States of America - a democracy, not a monarchy. :-P
