I have two complete three short essays for Native American Literature before I go home tonight. I've finished one and am about to start the second, now that I think I understand the leading questions. While they are the Final papers for the class, they don't have to be super-quality. Last time I blew off an in-class essay "exam" in that class (aka hardly did the reading, felt unprepared, etc) I got a B. I think I've gotten straight A's otherwise, so this assignment is not something that should be overly demanding of me. It's just kind of time consuming to figure out what the questions mean and what I can actuallytalk about for 2ish pages.
There are other things I'd much rather be doing tonight, though, like having tea with friends, building forts in dorm rooms, and eating more food. But alas, no, not yet. Maybe if I finish soon enough I'll be able to chill with people for a bit before returning home. But that depends on people being free by the time I finish... and me completing these essays at some sort of reasonable hour. hah!
It's too bad I have to work at Applefield farm tomorrow morning; it'd be so much more relaxing if I could just stay here at school and work at my own pace. Ah well, that's what happens with the year runs long and summer committments start getting ancy.
Somehow I'll just have to organise opportunities to visit various friends over the summer. Given how darn spread out everyone is, and how many of my weekends are already booked, however, that could be difficult. Whatever; back to paper-writing.
