Oh boy, this sounds familiar. Just when I thought my cold might be getting better, I turn out to have a fever of 103.1 !!!

This is reminiscent to March, senior year, when I had a cold for a couple days, and just as I felt like I was getting better I turned out to have pneumonia. Granted, my temperature then was 104, but this still ain't good.

Double and triple-checking my temperature just now I got 102.9 and 103.2.... I think I'm losing faith in the accuracy of this thermometer. Nevertheless, these aren't good results. I'll have to sic Joanna on buying the textbooks I need for a small paper due Monday, and pray that something will work out at the Newman Center if I can't play this afternoon! Ack, what a problem!

So throw some prayers my way, and for the Newman Center.. they'll be a little awkward without a pianist during mass.

Every now and then webpages fail to load. I lost an email or two today due to this, which was irritating. And then it seemed as though someone on AIM blocked me, and then unblocked me while being away and idle, which doesn't make sense.

Apologies to those inconvenienced; it would seem my computer is sympathizing with my state of health.

I'm also getting nervous about the Newman Center. THEY NEED A PIANIST! In 2.5 hours Mass starts. I shouldn't go due to my health, but what happens if they can't find a replacement? I can't even get through to them on the phone, grrr. Moral dilemma.

I took my temperature nearly an hour ago, now, and got 103.5, which was exciting. So I took some ibuprofen because I hadn't had any fever reducers nearly all day for some reason.

I did finally get through to Newman Center about 45 minutes before Mass began; they did the music a capella lead by the cantor, brave fellow! Talks of phone trees are now being had ;-)

I've had a couple "naps" this afternoon already, and the second one left me feeling relatively better, despite the 103.5 temp. I'm still having issues keeping my body warm enough. I feel cold, but I'm weaing so many layers, and it's usually pretty warm up this dorm as it is! Yet I also feel very warm, sweating off and on. Bah to being so sick.

I was planning on a White Wolf game this evening, but that's obviously unwise now. I was also planning on going to my previous piano teacher's recital in Bezanson on Sunday at 4:00. Hopefully I'll feel well enough to make it to that.

Now I'm not sure what to do. I'm eating ramen noodles, food the the champions, for a nice little dinner here so I don't have to go to the DC. It's the most substantial food I've had all day since the bowl of cereal at 10am. And it's making me feel a lot better; less nauseous when I move too much.

And my eyes are tired of looking at the computer screen, so that's a bummer. I think it's an early bedtime coming up soon!

So rather than IM'ing me if you want to chat, call the cell. I'll be relaxing for a while before I sleep, most likely.
